Terms & Conditions
Last updated 12 October 2026
These terms apply when you book a place on a course with The Hair Witch Academy, run by Verity at The Coven. Please read them before you book - by booking a place, you agree to them.
01Who we are
The Hair Witch Academy is run by The Hair Witch Academy Ltd, led by Verity. Courses are held at The Coven, 29 Bell Street, Romsey, Hants SO51 8GY. You can reach us at hello@belleandthecoven.co.uk.
02Our courses
Our courses are professional training for hairdressers. Each course page sets out who the course is for, the experience you need, the date, the times, what's included and the price. Please check you meet the experience requirements before you book - if you're unsure, ask us first.
All courses need a minimum of a level 2 hairdressing qualification (or equivalent), or at least one method of hair extensions for hair replacement courses if you aren't a fully qualified stylist.
Places are limited to keep groups small, so a place is only held once your booking is confirmed by us in writing.
03Booking and payment
Until our online booking system opens, you can request a place through the early booking form on our Course Dates page or by emailing us. Sending the form doesn't reserve a place - we'll reply to confirm availability and how to pay.
Payment is taken in full when you book, or you can spread the cost over three instalments with Klarna.
Where a course needs its essential kit, the kit is bought alongside the course and its price is shown on the course page. The kit is non-refundable.
If you pay with Klarna, your instalment agreement is with Klarna and their own terms apply to it.
04Cancelling or rescheduling
Spaces are very limited, so bookings are non-refundable. With at least three weeks' notice we can move your booking to the next available date. Our Refund Policy has the full details.
05If we need to change or cancel a course
Occasionally we may need to move or cancel a course, for example through illness or circumstances outside our control. If that happens we'll tell you as soon as we can and offer you a place on another date or a full refund of what you've paid for the course, whichever you prefer.
06On the day
Please arrive at the time given on the course page. Lunch isn't provided, so bring a packed lunch - there are shops nearby. Tea, coffee and cold drinks are provided.
A list of any equipment you need to bring will be emailed to you after booking. Before the course we'll also send you a form to tell us about your experience and any requirements you have for the day - please let us know about anything that would help us look after you.
Please follow any health and safety instructions given during the course, including on the safe use of products and tools.
07Course materials
The course manuals, handouts and other materials we provide are our own work, and they're for your personal use and reference only.
You are not permitted to share, email, copy, photograph, post online, sell or otherwise pass on any part of the manual or course materials, or use them to teach others. This applies to both the digital manual and the hard copy.
08Certificates
You'll receive your certificate when you complete the course. Once you're trained, you're responsible for the work you carry out on your own clients, including holding suitable insurance and carrying out any patch or strand tests your products require.
09After the course
As standard, you'll get up to three email responses from Verity after your course. Additional support packages can be bought separately.
10Our responsibility to you
We'll deliver your course with reasonable care and skill. We're not responsible for losses that weren't foreseeable when you booked, or for loss of business, income or profit. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law.
These terms don't affect your statutory rights.
11General
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you book is the one that applies to your booking.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute.
