“As Verity’s apprentice, she is always teaching me many tricks of the trade and new things! Verity is very attentive and will go over things as many times as you need for it to go in. Being able to learn from Verity has been such a valuable experience for me, especially as I’m developing my skills and working towards becoming a stylist. The academy has given me a much deeper understanding of vivid colour, both through the theory and the practical side, and I’ve really enjoyed learning the reasons behind different colour choices, formulations and techniques rather than just being told what to do. Verity has so much knowledge and experience and one of the things I love most about learning from her is that she takes the time to explain things properly and make sure you understand them. She’s always happy to answer questions and share her knowledge, which has really helped me become more confident in my own decisions behind the chair. I feel like I’ve learnt so much already, and I know the skills and knowledge Verity has taught me will stay with me throughout my career. I’m so grateful to have someone with so much passion and experience teaching me and helping me grow as a stylist.

But I’ve now started doing all of that and more! And gained my confidence. Alongside this I am in the middle of training extensions and soon will be doing barbering.
